Square Enix has shared some key differences between the Switch and Switch 2 versions of Octopath Traveler 0.

Through an update to the official Japanese website, we now know the resolution and frame rates for the different versions of the game. As one might expect, the Switch 1 will have the lowest performance out of the supported platforms, while the Switch 2 runs at a level just under the PS5 and XBox Series versions as follows:

• Switch 1: 720p, 30fps, up to 250 buildings in Town Builder
• Switch 2: 1080p, 60fps, up to 400 buildings in Town Builder
• PS5 and XBox Series: 4K, 120fps, up to 500 buildings in Town Builder

Octopath Traveler 0 launches December 4th 2025 for Switch and Switch 2.
