It’s been two days since Nintendo Switch 2 products went up for pre-order on Amazon Japan, and contrary to what everyone is expecting, a surprising product has become the No. 1 bestselling product in the video game category on Amazon Japan.

As of April 26, 2025, HORI’s Piranha Plant Camera for Nintendo Switch 2 is the No. 1 bestselling product in the video game category. As the Nintendo Switch 2 hardware will be distributed via a lottery / invitation request system, they aren’t in the bestseller charts yet. However, what may surprise you is the fact that there aren’t any Nintendo Switch 2 games in the top 10; only five official and officially licensed Nintendo Switch 2 accessories made the cut:

2. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (PS5)
3. Keys Factory Nintendo Switch 2 SCREEN GUARD (NS2)
4. Tamagotchi Plaza (NSW)

7. HUNDRED LINE (NSW)
8. Super Mario Party Jamboree (NSW)
9. Minecraft (Switch)
10. HORI Nintendo Switch 2 Easy-to-Paste Screen Protector (NS2)

It’s also worth mentioning that even though no Switch 2 games are in the top 10, there are four Switch games that did make it, including two (Super Mario Party Jamboree and Tamagotchi Plaza) that will be released as Nintendo Switch 2 Editions in the coming months.

In fact, if we take a look at the top 100 bestsellers, the highest ranking Switch 2 game is Mario Kart World is at No. 36, followed by Donkey Kong Bananza at No. 55. This could be partially explained by the Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World set, which is the cheapest way to get Mario Kart World.
