In recent times, some Banjo-Kazooie fans have been spreading rumors that Playtonic Games, the studio behind Yooka-Laylee, are working on a new Banjo-Kazooie game.

The rumors have been shot down by Playtonic, which said that they have come out denying these rumors in order not to get the hopes of fans high:

They're rumours.

We aren't working on a new Banjo game.
