Everyday, Pokemon Center and Pokemon Store locations in Japan distribute special birthday presents to customers whose birthday falls in the current month.

The Pokemon Company has announced Pokemon Center birthday presents will be updated on November 15, 2019, the same day Pokemon Sword and Shield launches in Japan.

New presents are as follows:

Present 1

The first present is a serial code that will let you redeem either Pikachu or Eevee (your choice!) in Pokemon Sword and Shield. To receive this present, you must bring along your Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch Lite to the Pokemon Center.

Present 2

The second present is a birthday crown. It is not known whether the design of the birthday crown will be updated.

Present 3

The third present is a birthday card and 5% off coupon for all items at the Pokemon Center excluding game systems, games, and game accessories. It is unclear whether the design of the birthday card will be updated at this time.

Here’s how to get your birthday present at Pokemon Center

1. Talk to a staff member at the Pokemon Center or Pokemon Store
2. Show your passport or identity card to prove your birthday falls within the month you visit the Pokemon Center or Pokemon Store. For example, if you visit the Pokemon Center in November and your birthday falls on November 15, you are entitled to the offer
3. If you have a Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch Lite, show it to the staff member to receive a serial code for Pikachu or Eevee (your choice).
