Pokemon DP Sound Library Shutting Down May 31st
Just under 4 months since the service started, the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Sound Library will be shutting down.
On February 2nd of this year, Pokemon released a sound library that hosted the original soundtracks of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl soon after the release of the remakes, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
But now it’s been announced that the website will be going offline without any reason.
Thank you for visiting the Pokémon DP Sound Library.
We will be shutting down the service on May 31, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. UTC.
You will not be able to stream or download the sound data after this date.As for the sound data downloaded already, you will be able to continue using it within the scope of the Terms of Use and Guidelines.
You can access this website to view the Terms of Use and Guidelines after the closure of Pokémon DP Sound Library.
Please make sure to follow the latest Terms of Use and Guidelines when using the sound data.We would like to take this opportunity to thank you to everyone who has supported us since service launch.
This sudden shift means that fans will be limited once again in where they can go to enjoy music from the game through official means.
It’s unclear if this was always the plan but as GameXplain mentions in the video below, there is a news section where presumably there would be more updates but only contains two updates: the site launch announcement and the site closure.
If you would like to download the music before it becomes unavailable, you can do so by following this link.
What do you think about this abrupt announcement?
