Yesterday, The Pokemon Company released ports of Pokemon FireRed And LeafGreen for the Switch, giving a new generation of fans another chance to experience the games on an official Nintendo console.

While the games have been ported mostly unchanged, fans have discovered that it does include one major addition. According to reports, players who defeat the Elite Four will be given the Mystic Ticket and Aurora Ticket key items as a reward. These items allow players to travel to special islands where they have the chance to capture Ho-Oh, Lugia, and the Mythical Pokemon Deoxys.

These items were previously exclusively distributed via in-person Mystery Gifts, meaning this is the first time many players will be experiencing this event, even if they played the originals on Game Boy Advance. Furthermore, this is now one of the few opportunities players have to obtain a Deoxys, whose last major non-event appearance was in Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire for the 3DS.
