Circana analyst Mat Piscatella has shared some new details about the performance of Pokemon Legends Z-A in the US.

During an interview he did with YouTuber Kyle Bosman, Piscatella revealed that the latest Pokemon game is currently the best-selling physical game of the year in the US. This was mentioned in the backdrop of the brand doing extremely well in general, with Piscatella saying that its the “biggest media property around” right now, particularly through the Trading Card Game.

“Pokémon’s the biggest media property around right now. It’s leading in our toys tracking, the trading cards are one of the biggest drivers of the entire toy industry right now… It’s broken all containment from the video game world in terms of franchise strength. It’s the best-selling physical game of the year so far already, and it’s only been in the market a few weeks, and it’s going to be one of the big drivers of the holiday quarter.”

Piscatella previously reported that Pokemon Legends Z-A had attained the biggest physical game launch of all time in the US according to Circana’s data, and his newest comments suggest that it will continue to sell extremely well there into the holiday season.
