Players have discovered an interesting exploit in Pokemon Legends Z-A, which is being used extensively for Shiny hunting.

This exploit takes advantage of the way the game handles how Pokemon spawn in the game, allowing players to create multiple spawn points for Pokemon by clever usage of positioning and saving. The most popular method at the moment is using this exploit to Shiny hunt multiple Alpha Pokemon at once, referring to the giant Pokemon variants that have seemingly become a staple of the Legends series.

Preparations

• Heal at the Centrico Pokemon Center above Wild Zone 20, which is where you will be using the exploit
• Rest on a bench until it is Daybreak in-game, as the changing of the day/night cycle will reset your progress
• KO all wild Pokemon between the Alpha spawn zone below the tower and the entrance to Wild Zone 20

Steps

1. Fast travel to Centrico Pokemon Center, and walk up into Wild Zone 20.
2. Run to the middle to attract the attention of the two Alpha Pokemon and lure backward toward where you entered.
3. The Wild Alphas will follow you up to the stream of water, ensure that they are lingering around that area, then exit Wild Zone 20 and save the game.
4. Close and restart the game, the two Alphas should still be at the stream where you left them.
5. Renter Wild Zone 20 and lure the two Alphas all the way up to the gate where you entered, then exit Wild Zone 20 and save the game.
6. Close and restart the game, the two Alphas should now be up at the entrance to Wild Zone 20.
7. Open the map and drop a pin where the Alphas are.
8. Run backwards until you are 60m away from the pin, then save the game again.
9. Close and restart the game, then run back into Wild Zone 20, drawing the attention of the two Alphas, you will notice that another two Alphas have respawned beneath the tower.
10. Repeat the process of Steps 2 through Step 8 with the four Alphas.
11. Close and restart the game, then run back into Wild Zone 20, drawing the attention of the four Alphas, you will notice that another two Alphas have respawned beneath the tower.
12. Repeat the process of Steps 2 through Step 8 with the six Alphas.
13. If you completed the steps correctly, all six of the Alpha Pokemon will now be stuck at the gate to Wild Zone 20. From here, you can walk in and allow them to attack you until you faint.
14. When you revive at the Centrico Pokemon Center, all six Alphas will be below the tower of Wild Zone 20.
15. You can now reroll the six Alphas until they are Shiny, either by resting on a bench or by fast travelling to Wild Zone 20 repeatedly.
