Earlier this week, The Pokemon Company announced the “More Spores For Hoppip” in-game event for Pokemon Pokopia, which is scheduled to run from March 10th to March 25th 2026.

That said, players have discovered a way to access the event ahead of its start date. By changing the system time to any date within the event period, players can access the event content to befriend all three members of the Hoppip line via the new item Cotton. This is similar to the “time travel” exploit used in Animal Crossing games, where players could adjust their system time backwards or forwards to experience time-limited events outside their intended periods.

Currently, it is not known if this technique will still be possible after the event period has actually passed in real life. If so, it will provide some reassurance to players who are unable to get the game now that they will still be able to access the time-limited Pokemon when they get the game at a later date.
