The Pokemon Company has shared more details on Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet’s performance on Nintendo Switch.

Loading times have significantly decreased on Switch 2. When flying between the same region, it takes 2 seconds on Switch 2 as compared to 8 seconds on Switch. The difference in loading time is even more drastic when flying between different regions – it just takes 3 seconds on Switch 2, as compared to 20 seconds on Switch. That’s 6.66 times faster on Switch 2.

A free update for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will be available on Nintendo Switch 2 from June 5, 2025.
