It looks like Pokemon fans might soon receive more news about the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet/Violet games.

The Pokemon Company has tweeted out what appeared to be a new teaser for the game, in the form of several mysterious photos taken by residents of the Paldea Region – where the game is set. As you can see below, these photos show some mysterious multicolored markings on various rocks and trees:

Hey Trainers! We’ve managed to obtain these photos of some strange markings taken by a photographer from Paldea. 📸

They seem to be getting a lot of attention from the region’s citizens…

At the moment, fans are speculating that these photos hint at a new phenomenon or new Pokemon from the game. Some folks have even pointed out that these markings bear a close resemblance to Oma forest, a set of painted trees by Basque sculptor Agustin Ibarrola:
