Pokemon Sun & Moon Anime Preview Shows Ash Holding The Alola League Trophy
As you know, this Sunday’s episode of the Pokemon Sun & Moon anime will finally reveal who will be crowned the Champion of the Alola region. However, it seems the winner may have been leaked early in one of the show’s special previews.
During the most recent episode of Japanese variety show Oha Suta, some short clips from the anime’s upcoming episodes were shown. In one of these clips, Ash is shown holding what appears to be the Alola League Champion Trophy.
Of course, the most obvious interpretation of this moment is that Ash finally won an official Pokemon League after losing every single one he competed in for the past 20+ years. Naturally, longtime Pokemon fans are ecstatic at the prospect:

I CAN'T EVEN BELIEVE THIS
OHA SUTA, WHY WOULD YOU USE THIS CLIP FOR A PREVIEW LOL#anipoke pic.twitter.com/d9r4wZxZ22— Kevfin (@KGPrestige) September 12, 2019

Others however, are not so excited. Some are upset that Oha Suta has seemingly spoiled what should have been a big surprise for fans. A few are even convinced that things are not what they seem, and that Ash may be just holding the trophy for some other reason unrelated to being the Champion.
Ok I’m actually really annoyed that they just spoiled this. They knew people were watching the league – even people who hate the anime often tune in for the league, so why spoil it? It’s not getting everyone hyped up it’s getting everyone pissed.#anipoke #pokemon pic.twitter.com/Qt2C9Ki3k8

Keep in mind there’s still multiple ways the league winner isn’t Ash👀
1. He’s holding the trophy for Gladion
2. He catches the trophy: Guzzlord hit Gladion so he drops it
3. Rules are changed where Kukui must be beat to be counted as league winner
4. Ash is disqualified#anipoke pic.twitter.com/lpFDMr1qvI— Pearlshipping TV (@PearlshippingTV) September 13, 2019
With this in mind, Pokemon fans may want to curb their enthusiasm a little until the episode airs and Ash is officially confirmed to be the Alola League Champion. Until then, we leave you with this Youtube upload of the preview (Thanks Pikachu Master) for you to judge for yourself.
