As of January 17, 2020, Pokemon Sword and Shield have been the No. 1 bestselling games on the Famitsu sales charts for 9 consecutive weeks. The games broke the previous record held by Pokemon Diamond and Platinum, which were the No. 1 bestselling games for 8 consecutive weeks.
