Pokemon Sword And Shield’s Galar Region Isn’t Seamless But Made Up Of Multiple Areas
Today we have some interesting details about Pokemon Sword and Shield coming from an official Gamer Taiwan interview with Game Freak.
When Gamer asked Game Freak whether the Galar region would be presented in a seamless way similar to how it’s done in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Pokemon Sword and Shield director Shigeru Ohmori confirmed that isn’t the case, as the Galar region will be made up of multiple small areas similar to how it’s like in past Pokemon games.
Read their comments in full below as translated by NintendoSoup:
GNN: The Galar region looks quite large. Will it be presented in a seamless way, or are multiple small maps connected to each other? Did you face any challenges while designing the map?
Shigeru Ohmori: Although it is not seamless, we wanted to make sure that every part of the Galar region looks great. I hope players will appreciate the different scenery while moving between various parts of the Galar region.
What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
Thanks, Brandon.
