Pokemon Sword/Shield Art Direct Also Shares Tribute Artwork For Pokemon XD: Gale Of Darkness
Earlier this week, Pokemon Sword/Shield art director James Turner shared a lovely artwork tribute to Pokemon Colossuem – which was the first Pokemon title he ever worked on. As part of a follow-up, it looks like Turner is also spreading some love for Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness – the direct successor to Pokemon Colossuem!
This time, Turner shared a new illustration of Pokemon XD‘s main protagonist Michael – which was drawn to celebrate the game’s 15th anniversary in Japan. In addition to this, Turner also spoke with fans about his role in managing Pokemon XD‘s animations and cutscenes. Check it out below:
Today is the 15th anniversary of the release of Pokémon XD in Japan, and I had to draw a little art to mark the occasion. This was the second Pokémon game I worked on! pic.twitter.com/I4xcqwPTQm

I was more like a manager on the game, overseeing all the cutscenes and all the character modelling and animation.
