The official Rocket League Help Twitter account has confirmed that Psyonix is working on cross platform party support in 2018.

This means Nintendo Switch owners of Rocket League will be able to play with PS4 owners in the future. Currently Switch players could play online with Xbox One and PC players, but not with PS4 players.
