Random: Japanese Dry Cleaner Goes Viral For Cleaning “Fat Pikachu” Plushies
A dry cleaning company located in Yamanashi, Japan has gone viral online for cleaning classic “Fat Pikachu” Pokemon plushies.
The company was spotlighted by Instagram account Collect, including photos and videos of many original “Fat Pikachu” being professionally cleaned and restored. The account notes that the workers take great care to ensure that the dirt is removed that the plushies are brought back to their original fluffy state, despite the store not being specifically set up to restore plush toys.
The Pokemon Company recently re-released the Fat Pikachu plushie to celebrate Pokemon’s 30th anniversary, but many fans would likely prefer to have their childhood plush restored to its original state as opposed to buying a brand new one.
