Random: Logan Paul Auctions His Pikachu Illustrator Card For $16.5 Million
Internet celebrity Logan Paul has auctioned off his rare “Pikachu Illustrator” card for a record-breaking amount of money.
The card was auctioned off for a final price of $16.5 Million USD at Goldin Auctions, which is reportedly a new Guinness world record for the largest amount that a trading card has been sold at an auction. The winner was A.J. Scaramucci, son of venture capitalist and former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci.
The Pikachu Illustrator card is fairly rare, being a special edition printed as a prize for an illustration contest for CoroCoro Comic. However, this specific card owned by Logan Paul has the added infamy of being the one he wore around his neck during Wrestlemania 2022, complete with a diamond encrusted necklace. He also later tried selling it as an NFT, although it is not clear how that arrangement will work now that he has sold off the original card.
