Following the latest trailer for Pokemon Legends Arceus, fans have made an interesting observation about the number of Pokemon in the games.

With the addition of Wyrdeer and Basculegion, there are now 900 known species of Pokemon across all the different generation of Pokemon games. Prior to this, Calyrex was the last numbered Pokemon in the National Pokedex at number 898.

Should there be even more Hisuian variants and evolutions to be revealed, it is likely we will be drawing ever closer to the 1000 Pokemon milestone as the series continues. We will be sure to report back with more updates as they come.
