Nintendo has re-confirmed that the Splatoon themed spirit event for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be going live this Friday.

As announced previously, this special spirit event will feature characters from the Splatoon series, and is being held in celebration of Splatoon 2‘s final splatfest. During this event, defeating the featured spirits will net players more SP than usual. The event will start on July 12th, and will last for three days.
