Rumor: GameCube Games Finally Coming To Switch Online Following Switch 2 Launch
Ever since the service’s beginning, fans have been desperately craving for Nintendo to add GameCube games to the Switch Online games catalogue, a plea that has gone unanswered until we are nearing the end of the Switch’s life.
According to famous industry insider Nate The Hate, the long wait might finally be coming to a close. Nate claims that GameCube games could come to the service within “first launch year” of the Switch 2, and it is no longer a matter of “if”, but “when”.
“I’ve heard GameCube will be coming to NSO. It’s just a question of when, not if.”
Nate’s claims come after a possible FCC filing for a new GameCube controller were discovered online, which would certainly pair nicely with being able to actually play GameCube games on the Switch 2. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
