In a few days time, The Pokemon Company will be hosting their annual Pokemon Day Direct, showing off what’s coming next for the franchise.

Prominent leakers Riddler Khu and eb576dcfe (AKA Pyoro) have now taken to social media to tease a surprise announcement for the event. Both leakers posted separately hinting at the word “Synapse”, with the timing seemingly aligned to coincide with Pokemon Day. Many believe that this is a hint that “Synapse” will be shown during the event.

For those who may not be aware, a Pokemon project codenamed “Synapse” was leaked from the massive data breach suffered by Game Freak late last year. This project was described by leakers as “Splatoon-like” as well as being worked on by Game Freak and ILCA. If accurate, this would be likely be the first project being produced under the new “Pokemon Works” company formed by the two.
