Following their highly successful Super Mario collaboration, it seems that another of Nintendo’s major franchises will be getting its own LEGO sets soon.
The franchise in question is none other than The Legend Of Zelda, a fitting choice given its arguably Nintendo’s second most popular first-party series. This information comes via a series of leaked details, supposedly from a marketing survey sent out by LEGO. According to the leak, a LEGO set featuring the Great Deku Tree being planned by Nintendo, with the survey being used to gauge interest.
In a report from PromoBricks.de, the set is described as a 1,920 piece set which allows players to choose between the Great Deku Tree’s classic Ocarina Of Time look or the more modern Breath Of The Wild rendition. This leak comes shortly after news broke that LEGO Ideas started rejecting concepts based on The Legend Of Zelda, citing a “license conflict”. If this Great Deku Tree set is indeed in the works, it could be the reason behind this decision. That said, we advise readers to take this information with a grain of salt until there is an official announcement from either Nintendo or LEGO. Stay tuned for more as it comes.
