Rumor: Map Size, Potential New Raid NPCs, And More Datamined For Pokemon Sword/Shield Crown Tundra DLC
Pokemon dataminers have once again shared a big discovery about the upcoming Crown Tundra DLC for Pokemon Sword And Shield, pulled from the files of the recently released Isle Of Armor DLC.
This latest batch of info includes hints pointing towards new Raid NPCs and battle tracks being added to the game, as well as peek at how big the Crown Tundra area will be when it eventually releases.
You can find the information after the spoiler warning below:
Pokemon dataminer mattyoukhana recently managed to gain access to the Crown Tundra’s Pokedex data, which allowed him to preview the map for that area. Although this unreleased map preview only shows the landmark points and fly points, it does give us a good idea of how big we can expect the Crown Tundra to be once its released.
Haha, so The Crown Tundra Pokédex… it lets me view the map too.
This is honestly just a big meme at this point. pic.twitter.com/y1GrvU97D2

Here are all of the Fly locations for The Crown Tundra — as expected when trying to warp there, the game just crashes (no overworld models exist). pic.twitter.com/ef3NLLcuyg

The dataminer also discovered evidence that 8 new battle themes will be added to the game with the Crown Tundra, presumably for the many Legendaries that can be found in the area. Matt also found evidence that a few more NPCs will be added to Raid Battles, one of them being the new character Peony, and another character named “Sakuya”.
With The Crown Tundra, there will be an additional 8 battle themes playable in multiplayer/Battle Tower. We don't know what they consist of, but it's a pretty likely guess that they'll include stuff like:
• Vs. Peony
• Vs. Regis
• Vs. Legendary Birds
• Vs. Calyrex

Looks like there'll be 2 additional NPC allies added to Max Raid Battles. We currently have Kurara (Klara) and Seibori (Avery).
SYAKUYA = ??? (Peony's daughter?)

As with all datamines of this nature, we caution readers to take them with a grain of salt. We will be sure to share more when official details about the Crown Tundra are announced.
