Rumor: Pokemon Scarlet/Violet DLC Leak Claims “New Switch Models” Coming Later This Year

Earlier this week, The Pokemon Company aired a Pokemon Presents showcase for Pokemon Day 2023, revealing The Hidden Treasures Of Area Zero, a DLC Expansion for Pokemon Scarlet And Violet.

Following the presentations, fans discovered a post on 4chan that was published a short while before the presentation aired. The poster, claiming to be an outsourced programmer for the Pokemon Company, accurately described the later announced contents of the DLC, as well as the reveal of the two Paradox Pokemon Walking Waves and Iron Leaves.

What is even more interesting however, is that the poster goes on to claim that their team is working on a “graphics enhancement patch”, which would go live together with the second part of the DLC and “new Switch models”.

This post has garnered  a fair bit of interest from fans, mainly from the implication that Nintendo intends to launch a new Switch model later this year. The topic of a new Switch model or potential successor has seen a significant resurgence in recent months, mainly due to the company being eerily quiet about their plans for late 2023.

Stay tuned for more as it comes.
