SEGA Discusses Possibility For More Sonic Racing Crossworlds DLC

Following its release last month, Sonic Racing Crossworlds is poised to receive a number of crossover DLCs in the coming months, featuring characters from other videogames and even popular cartoons.

Speaking with Polygon, series producer Takashi Iizuka discussed the team’s plans for the game’s future, which will be heavily dependent on player feedback. One possibility he floated was adding more crossover DLC characters in the future, shouting out fans to “Tell us what you want!”, saying they could do two or three more years of DLC.

“If enough people are coming in and playing it, there’s conversations about the game. We have one year of DLC, we could do year two, we could do year three of DLC. Tell us what you want! These are the things we can do because it is an online game. We could add new gadgets, we could balance the game differently.”

Sonic Racing Crossworlds already has a season pass planned out for the rest of the year an a bit beyond, with Minecraft and Persona 5 DLCs rolling out this month. Stay tuned for more as it comes.
