Simulation Of Nintendo Switch 2 Shows Which Big AAA Games Are Likely And Unlikely To Run On It

We have some interesting information about the Nintendo Switch 2’s performance from a deep-dive analysis of the console’s motherboard by Chinese YouTuber Geekerwan.

Based on a simulation of the Switch 2’s GPU and CPU, Geekerwan was able to figure out which third-party AAA games are able to run on Switch 2.

According to his analysis, games like Black Myth: Wukong will likely be able to run on Switch 2, albeit with some compromises to its frame rate or performance, as well as the use of DLSS and lots of optimization work.

Games from the Call of Duty series are very likely to be able to run on Switch 2, but it will not likely be able to run at 60 FPS, with some compromises to its frame rate in TV mode (50 FPS) and Handheld mode (40 FPS).

One game that could definitely be ruled out from running on Switch 2 is Monster Hunter Wilds, which struggled to run in a simulation of the Switch 2 in TV mode, and looked “really bad” even with DLSS upscaling in Handheld mode.
