Song Of Memories Was Delayed In Order To Censor The Game
Last month, PQube announced it had to delay the Song of Memories to a general 2019 launch window for Nintendo Switch and all other consoles.
Today, PQube revealed the reason behind the delay. In order to placate age rating boards, PQube had to censor certain parts of the game, thus more time was required before Song of Memories could be released.
While the Japanese version and western version of Song of Memories are largely the same, ages have been removed from the characters and the word School has been changed to Academy.
Content-wise the game is the same as the Japanese version, in terms of localisation, ages have been removed from the characters, and the term School has been changed to Academy. This was to placate age rating boards and has nothing to do with recent platform holder changes.
