In early gameplay footage from Mario Kart World, it was noted that the game’s Grand Prix mode features all traditional cups except for one – Special Cup.

The Mario Kart World Direct has hinted that the Special Cup will be unlocked after completing all seven cups. It’s also suggested from footage in the Direct that Rainbow Road would be unlocked in this cup, as seen from the trophy soaring towards the sky.
