Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass Wave 1 Launches February 28th 2023, Characters Detailed
Following the announcement last week, Nintendo has officially announced the release date for Wave 1 of Splatoon 3‘s Expansion Pass.
The first instalment of Splatoon 3‘s DLC will be released on February 28th 2023. As a reminder, this first wave will add a new hub world based on Inkopolis from Splatoon 1, serving the same function as the regular Splatoon 3 hub world, except populated by returning characters from the original game, as well as some new ones.

Nintendo has also released some character profiles for said new and returning characters, which you can view below:
And here are two familiar faces—Annie and Moe from Cooler Heads, the Inkopolis headgear shop! Annie has leaned into her love of gothic metal and changed her style. She also moonlights as a sysop for SplatNet and adds decals to weapons on the side. As for Moe? Still a clown fish. pic.twitter.com/eGeQNFRFbU

And here we have Fred Crumbs. He's newly filleted and deep-fried, as the job posting at Shrimp Kicks called for someone with "extra crispy" fashion sense. Despite this misunderstanding, Fred knows his shoes and is reportedly pleased that he can now wear both a left and a right. pic.twitter.com/OXwxqaWLfp

SRL HR here. In between bites of Grizzco chocolate, we'd like to introduce Spyke. He's not technically an employee, so we can't fully endorse him, but he's run some extremely successful businesses in the past. Bottom line—he can get you cool gear and buff your gear abilities. pic.twitter.com/uwhMMy5d8S
