Splatoon 3 “Sizzle Season” Challenges And New Weapon Detailed
Nintendo has released some new information about the upcoming Sizzle Season update for Splatoon 3.
Firstly, a new feature called Challenges will be added with the update. This feature will allow players to battle with special rules for limited periods. The first challenge is called the New Season Challenge, and is scheduled for June 2nd to June 3rd. More Challenges will appear in the future.
Of course, you can still hop into an Anarchy Battle (Open) with a squid (or octo) squad anytime. Between Challenges and Anarchy Battles (Open), you'll have the flexibility to splat the way you want. Challenges can also be tourney qualifiers, so we hope you'll check them out. pic.twitter.com/PlT3wUedlL

Keep your eyes peeled for more Challenges in the future. From one with Too Many Trizookas—where you can fire the Trizooka almost endlessly—to an Extreme Jump Battle with powered-up jumping physics, the possibilities are endless! pic.twitter.com/g60jpRYaXL

Next a new weapon called the S-Blast ’92 was showcased. It is a Blaster class weapon which looks similar to the classic Nintendo peripheral the Super Scope.
Sorry—we're just so excited. Check out this video of the S-BLAST '92 in action. No batteries required! And note that jumping while firing is how you activate the shorter-range firing mode with bigger blasts. Keep your feet on the ground to hit faraway targets with precision. pic.twitter.com/tPHvMusgF2
