Stardew Valley Dev Says He Will “Never” Charge Money For DLC Or Updates
Concerned Ape, the developer of Stardew Valley, has shared an update regarding the console release for the game’s Version 1.6 update.
As shared on X/Twitter, ConcernedApe has been hard at work on the console and mobile releases for the Version 1.6 update, which released for PC earlier this year. ConcernedApe reassured that further announcements will be shared once a release date is finalized.

In addition, responding to a fan, ConcernedApe also declared that he would “never charge money for a DLC or update” for as long as he lived, encouraging viewers to screenshot the thread for proof. Whether or not this declaration only applies to Stardew Valley or also applied to his upcoming new game Haunted Chocolatier remains to be seen.
I swear on the honor of my family name, i will never charge money for a DLC or update for as long as I live. Screencap this and shame me if I ever violate this oath
