It appears that the Year 1 – Year 2 DLC Character Pass for the Street Fighter 6 physical release must be redeemed via a download code on the Nintendo eShop separately from the  Game-Key Card.

Dummy boxes for the game at Japanese retail show that the download code can be redeemed from June 5, 2025 to June 5, 2026. Some players have questioned the rationale behind making the character pass a separate download from the base game, but we won’t know for sure unless Capcom explains to the public.
