Switch 2 Sales Top 3.5 Million In First Four Days, Nintendo’s Fastest Selling Hardware Globally
Nintendo has announced their first sales figures for the Nintendo Switch 2.
According to Nintendo’s data, the Switch 2 sold over 3.5 Million units in its first four days on the market. This makes it the fastest selling piece of Nintendo hardware ever globally.

Nintendo Co., Ltd. (HQ: Kyoto, Minami-ku, Japan; Representative Director and President: Shuntaro Furukawa, “Nintendo” hereafter) announced that its new game system, Nintendo Switch 2, sold over 3.5 million units worldwide in the four days following its release on June 5, 2025*. This is the highest global sales level for any Nintendo hardware within the first four days.
It is believed that this figure also makes the Switch 2 the fastest selling home console in history period, with some figures suggesting that it likely sold more units than the Playstation 4 and 5 during the same launch period.
