Temtem Winding Down Development, Will Remove Microtransactions

Crema, the creators of the indie monster-collecting MMORPG Temtem, have released an update about the game’s future.

The lengthy update reveals that Crema intends to start winding down development of the game. Version 1.7 will be the last major content update, with Version 1.8 and onwards being focused more on bugfixes, polish, and game balancing. They will also be removing the controversial microtransaction system from the game, replacing it with one that will allow players to purchase all past cosmetics through in-game currency.

Crema’s update post also goes into depth about the reasons behind this shift, one of the big ones that Temtem was never designed to receive major content updates forever, and the adding of so many new features have made it more difficult for the team to maintain and run. You can check out the full details on Crema’s website here.
