Toby Fox Shares Another Deltarune Developer Update, Team Has Mostly “Moved On” From Chapter 5

Toby Fox, the creator of Deltarune, has shared another progress update for the game.

In a series of posts on social media, Fox shared that they are currently working on polish and PC bugtesting for the game, which will ramp up once the JApanese translation is completed. That said, outside of the bugtesting and translation, most of the team has “moved on” from Chapter 5.

We'll receive the first draft of the Japanese translation of Chapter 5 next week!Meanwhile, we've been polishing the game and doing some preliminary internal bugtesting on PC. Heavy bugtesting across every console will happen when the Japanese translation is done.

The professional testers are familiarizing themselves with the game now. They begin formally testing on April 1st.Japanese translation quality assurance is projected to be completed in April.Outside of addressing bugs and translation, most of the development team has moved on from Chapter 5.

He unfortunately could not share more specifics about Chapter 5’s release date, saying that testing will continue for an “indefinite”  amount of time, after which they will still need the game to get approved for consoles before launch.

The actual testing period will last for an indefinite amount of time. After that, the game needs to get approved on consoles and we need to do various other things to prepare for release. That'll be all from me on this subject for a while…
