Untitled Goose Game Wins Game Of The Year At 2020 DICE Awards
Each year, the Design Innovate Communicate Entertain (DICE) Awards pay tribute to the greatest games – with a coveted ‘Game of the Year’ title up for grabs. Well, the results are in, and it looks like one honking bird has stolen the top spot!
Earlier today, the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) awarded Untitled Goose Game with the honor of being their Game of the Year for 2019! As many readers will know, the game went viral with swathes of fan-art and parodies – thanks in part to its unique premise of controlling a mischievous goose.

Previously, the DICE Game of the Year Award only went to blockbuster hits like God of War (PS4), The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch), and Skyrim. This fact was not lost on the title’s developers House House, which pondered out loud about standing next to such great games:
