Nintendo has announced a new way to upgrade Nintendo Switch Online Individual Plans to Family Plans in Japan.

From October 1, 2019, it would be possible to upgrade existing Individual Plan to Family Plan. For example, assuming you have 100 days left in your Individual Plan, if you choose to upgrade from your Individual Plan to Family Plan, multiply 6 yen with 100 days and you will get a 600 yen discount for the 4500 yen Family Plan which lasts for one year.

We expect a similar upgrade program to roll out in other territories worldwide, so it’s a matter of time we will hear about it in other regions.
