You May Not Be Able To Use The YouTube Switch App On Switch 2 At Launch
The latest Nintendo Switch software compatibility with Nintendo Switch 2 update has revealed that the YouTube app may have some issues running on Nintendo Switch 2.
According to the Japanese compatibility page, YouTube is one of over 120 Nintendo Switch software that have issues found during basic compatibility testing. Nintendo is currently discussing with Google on how they plan to address these issues, which could come in the form of a free software update or even a native Switch 2 app.
Regardless of what approach Google decides to take, it seems unlikely that this issue will be resolved by the time the Switch 2 launches, as we are almost a week away from June 5.
It’s worth noting that several other video streaming services on Switch, such as Niconico, ABEMA, Crunchyroll, and Hulu, are not compatible with Nintendo Switch 2.
