You Need To Be Online Every 7 Days To Play Nintendo Switch Online NES Games
Following news on how cloud saves are deleted after a Nintendo Switch Online subscription ends, we have another piece of bad news to share.
According to Eurogamer, players will have to connect their Nintendo Switch to the Internet every 7 days in order to play the NES games part of the Switch Online service. So if you’re on vacation for over a week and have no Internet access, you’ll be locked out of your NES games – too bad.
The reason is why Nintendo has done this is likely to prevent users who have an expiring subscription to keep on playing after their membership ends.
This is extremely different to how Nintendo’s competitors handle games in the PlayStation Plus and Xbox Gold services – games that are downloaded on the console and are offline can be played as long as users want.
