10 Pokemon GO Players Risk Their Lives To Catch Pokemon On Railway Tracks
A group of 10 or more people entered the railway tracks of the JR Inbi Line in Tottori, Japan yesterday.
According to residents living in the area, the incident happened at around 2:50pm Japan Time. Local police was alerted but by the time they arrived at the scene, no one was found on the tracks.
While the motives of the group of people aren’t clear yet, it is believed by many people that the group of 10 illegally entered the railway tracks to catch Pokemon in Pokemon GO. Due to this incident 5 trains on the Inbi Line were delayed by up to 30 minutes, affecting 800 passengers.
A large scale official Pokemon GO event is taking place in Totorri this weekend, and according to prefecture officials around 20,700 people visited the sand dunes in Tottori (where the event takes place) as of 3pm yesterday.
