The Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has published a new game rating hinting at a new title that could be coming to Switch soon.
The rating is for Them’s Fightin’ Herds, a 2D fighting game starting a colorful cast of cartoon animals, which started life as a fan-project based on My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. The game has received an E10+ rating for “Alcohol Reference, Fantasy Violence, and Use of Tobacco”, with platforms including the Switch as well as the Playstation and Xbox series.
You can check out a trailer for the original PC version of the game below, along with ESRB’s summary:
This is an action game in which players assume the role of a pony-like character battling evil forces. Players explore dungeon locations, search for an artifact, and encounter cartoony enemies (e.g., wolves, snakes, bears) to fight. Battles are presented as stylized one-on-one fights, with animal characters punching, kicking, and using special moves (e.g., lasso toss) to deplete opponents’ health bar. Fights are highlighted by impact sounds, light effects, and cries of pain. Among dozens of items, players can obtain fermented grape juice and a bottle of champagne; costume items include cigarettes/pipes with wisps of smoke.
At the time of this writing, neither publisher Modus Games nor developer Mane6 have formally announced the console release for the game. Stay tuned for more details as they come.
