Today we have some interesting news coming from CyberConnect President Hiroshi Matsuyama, who has been giving lessons to students at schools in Japan.
Matsuyama asked 1st year students at Haruyoshi Junior High School which game console they own, and the results were shocking.
95% of the students said they own a Nintendo Switch, meaning almost everyone in that school owns a Nintendo Switch. As for the PlayStation 4, it’s owned by 30% of the students. More surprisingly, only 50% of the students polled own a smartphone.
Matsuyama was impressed that the number of students who own a Nintendo Switch is extremely high. He also noted that only 2 students in the entire cohort are paying for microtransactions in smartphone games.
