Idea Factory International has released more details about Mary Skelter 2‘s powerful Nightmares as well as its systems.

The publisher has updated the official website to introduce the powerful Marchens called the Nightmares. These are invincible enemies which pursue the characters no matter how many times they get defeated. In addition, the Skill Creation, Blood Devolution, and Blood Farm systems have all been introduced.

Nightmares are powerful Marchens that protect the dungeon’s core. They are invincible and regardless of how many times you defeat them, they will rise again and continue their chase. When the Jail becomes unstable, there is a chance that a Nightmare will appear out of nowhere and ambush you with Murder Hunt.

During a Murder Hunt, a white haze appears and you lose sight of your mini map. The only way to survive is to run!

The skills learned by the Blood Maidens can be chosen by the player. The Blood Maidens gain CP as they level, and these points are used to level up skills and learn new ones.

You can also use the skills you’ve learned across different jobs, effectively crafting your own Blood Maiden. For example, you can create a Paladin with powerful attacks, or a Blood Witch that can use healing magic. The possibilities are endless!

Training – Skill Creation: When a Blood Maiden levels up, they gain CP, which are points that can be used to level up skills or learn new ones. Blood Maidens also have the ability to learn skills across different jobs, which allows players to craft their very own Blood Maiden.

You can reset a Blood Maiden’s level at the New Liberated District through Blood Devolution so that you can train her again.

The level you want to drop down to can be chosen by the player. Depending on the level you choose, you will gain bonus CP, which can be used to boost stats or learn skills!

Training – Blood Devolution: At the New Liberated District, players can reset a Blood Maiden’s level to retrain her. Players can choose what level to devolve to and depending on the level chosen, characters can gain stat boosts and/or learn new skills.

You can raise Blood Flowers inside dungeons using the Blood Farm system! All you need to do is plant Blood Crystals that you gain in battle inside the dungeon. Blood Flowers will grow from the planted crystals, and can be harvested once they go into full bloom to gain various items!

You can also splatter Marchen blood over the Blood Flowers, which will give them a golden shine. These flowers have an increased chance of getting rarer items when harvested!

The items you harvest can come with special effects, like those below…
・Bonus points up to +99.
・15 different equipment skills.
・4 different ailment effects.
・60 different nicknames.
・9 different elemental properties.

There are no two same items, so keep harvesting to get the greatest item ever!

Dungeon – Blood Farm: You can raise Blood Flowers in the dungeon by planting the Blood Crystals you gain in battle. Once a Blood Flower has gone into full bloom, various items can be harvested.

Splattering Marchen Blood onto the flowers will turn the flowers gold and increase your chances of obtaining a rare item! The items you get through Blood Farming can come with special boosts; such as different elemental properties, bonus points, equipment skills and more! So be sure to keep harvesting because you won’t get the same item twice!

You can also use Hameln’s “Magnetic Picolo” ability to harvest all the Blood Flowers at once to trigger “Update Chance”, which will attach even MORE bonuses to your items!

By using Hameln’s special ability, “Magnetic Piccolo,” you can harvest your Blood Flowers at once, which will trigger a special effect called “Update Chance.”

When in effect, the items you gain will gain additional bonuses!
