Niantic has begun rolling out a new feature for Pokemon GO called “Adventure Sync: Nearby” worldwide.

First datamined several months ago, this new feature is an update to Adventure Sync which will allow players to receive notifications about nearby Pokemon even if Pokemon GO is closed.

This is a highly useful feature for players who don’t want to miss out on Pokemon, but also don’t want to keep the app open 24/7. Adventure Sync: Nearby is currently rolling out across many regions, including Europe, Southeast Asia, South America and more.
