After word of Microsoft’s plan to acquire Activision Blizzard got out, Head Of Xbos Phil Spencer said that this deal would allow Microsoft to bring Call Of Duty to Nintendo’s platforms moving forward.

Following his initial statement, Microsoft has now officially signed a 10 year legal agreement to put Call Of Duty to Nintendo consoles. This agreement also stipulates that the games will launch the same day as the Xbox version, with the exact same content and features. Although the agreement itself is promising, it remains to be seen whether Microsoft will be able to fulfill its end of the bargain, given that most modern Call Of Duty games would have trouble running on a console like Nintendo Switch. Furthermore, there has been significant pushback from governing bodies regarding Microsoft’s intent to purchase Activision Blizzard, which would put a wrench in the agreement if the acquistion falls through.
