Call of Duty Will Come to Nintendo Following Microsoft Activision Merger

One of the most popular shooter games may be coming to Nintendo consoles according to Xbox’s leader.

The Head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, tweeted today that “Microsoft has entered into a 10-year commitment to bring Call of Duty to Nintendo following the merger of Microsoft and Activision Blizzard King.”

This news follows an interview with the Washington Post where Spencer revealed that the development for the game on Nintendo platforms would begin after June 2023 if the company acquisition is successful.

Spencer explains that this would be part of an effort to make sure Call of Duty is available to play where players want. Though this would not be anytime soon as it is part of a ten year commitment that will likely come to a console that follows the Nintendo Switch.

Part of this deal also includes bringing Call of Duty to Steam since the game is currently available on Activision’s Battlenet.
