Pokemon Sleep Reportedly Earned $100 Million In Its First Year

Appmagic has published some new data about how Pokemon Sleep performed in its first year of release.

According to their figures, Pokemon Sleep has generated around $100 million from player spending since its launch on mobile last year. These  launch figures place the sleep tracking app as the second highest grossing Pokemon mobile game in terms of launch year performance, with first place being Pokemon GO‘s astonishing $1 billion revenue.

A breakdown of the figures can be found below:

  • Japan was the top market for player spending at $73 million.
  • United States followed in No. 2 with $15 million, and Taiwan ranked No. 3 with $4 million.
  • Pokemon Sleep has around 9.8 million downloads overall, 44% from Japan, 17% from the US, and 7% from Taiwan.
  • Pokemon Sleep earns more money during events, with the Raikou event pulling in $4 million in revenue overall.

These figures are likely to come as a relief for the Pokemon Company, who spent around 4 years developing the app since its original announcement. That said, only time will tell whether it will keep up this momentum moving forward.
