Nintendo Requests Default Judgment After Switch Piracy Reddit Moderator Fails To Respond To Lawsuit

Nintendo has filed a request for default judgment in one of its lawsuits against Switch piracy.

As shared by Oatmealdome, a Reddit moderator accused of running multiple Switch piracy sites has failed to respond to Nintendo’s lawsuit against them, prompting the company to request a default judgments. This means that in the absence of the accused’s response, Nintendo will win the the lawsuit by default. Nintendo previously filed the lawsuit after requesting that this individual cease his piracy activities multiple times, activities which included running a Switch piracy subreddit and multiple piracy sites.

Notably, this lawsuit is separate from the other high profile Switch piracy lawsuit reported previously, where the defendant is choosing to represent himself without a lawyer. Given that one of Nintendo’s previous targets in its crusade against Switch piracy is now paying them damages for life, prospects aren’t looking good for this new individual.
