An update for the Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app for smartphones has revealed the existence of Nintendo Switch firmware version 5.0.0.

According to official patch notes, the latest version for the Parental Controls app requires the Nintendo Switch firmware version to be updated to 5.0.0 and above in order to use certain features.

If the statement is true, we can expect to see 5.0.0 land on Switch systems shortly.
